Today, I'm participating in a Flash Fiction Challenge by author Arial Burnz. It's something I'd actually like to try and do each Friday because it's fun, it stretches the writing muscles, and it helps me provide steady, weekly content for my readers here on my blog, so I'm excited to try it.
The rules are to take the writing prompt Arial gives, and run with it for 5 full minutes. That's it. Set a timer and write for just 5 minutes! So, without further ado, here's today's Flash Fiction Challenge...
“This isn't what it looks like. I am not a thief. I’m just really good at acquiring things that aren’t mine. I like to think of it as a gift, but sometimes it gets me into trouble.”
He smiled at her. He couldn’t help it, she was just so damn cocky and sure of herself. Not to mention gorgeous with that long red hair and bright blue eyes. In fact, she was exactly the kind of woman that set his soul on fire, and it was all he could do to stop himself from crossing the room and kissing her. He leveled his gun at her instead.
“Well, your gift has definitely gotten you into trouble today. It's gotten you arrested. Now, slowly put the diamonds down, and place your hands on your head.”
